Free And Reduced Meals
How to Qualify
To qualify for free or reduced meals for your child, you must complete an application and return to Fleet and Family Support (Japan), School Liaison Officer (Europe, Bahrain, and Guantanamo Bay), or DoDEA Guam Office (Guam). Be sure to complete the entire application. We are unable to approve incomplete applications.
If your total household income is the same or less than the amounts on the Income Eligibility Chart, your child is eligible to receive free meals. A foster child who is the legal responsibility of the courts is eligible to receive free meals regardless of your income. Children enrolled in Sure Start are considered a direct certification program and automatically qualify for free school meals.
If you applied for free and reduced meals last year and were approved in:
• Japan, Europe, or Guam, your eligibility status will end on October 6, 2020
• Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, your eligibility status will end on September 30, 2020
Every year (Beneficiary) will have to re-apply.
